How to show up in Cochise County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Cochise County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneThis Board bought a facial recognition search engine from Clearview AI as a sole source purchase. It also has the clearest instructions for speaking of any county board we have read in Arizona, which makes it an unusually answerable room.
- When
- Recent regular meetings are on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. Check the agenda portal, which also carries the Board's work sessions; those take no public comment.
- Where
- Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 1415 Melody Lane, Building G, Bisbee. The agendas state that "the public will have physical access to the meeting place fifteen (15) minutes prior to the start of the meeting".
- Remote
- The agendas state that "Members of the public may attend this meeting via Microsoft Teams computer or mobile app, or via phone", and print a dial-in number and conference ID for each meeting, plus a number to call for help getting in. Attending remotely is not the same as speaking: to speak you return the speaker request form, whichever way you attend.
- Public comment
- The agendas say: "To speak on an agenda item or during the Call to the Public, complete and return the speaker request form to the Clerk of the Board by 9:00 am on the day of the meeting." Earlier agendas add that "Persons will be permitted three minutes to speak"; the 2026 agendas do not print a limit. What the Board can do with what you say is bounded, and the agenda says so: under A.R.S. 38-431.01(H) "action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, responding to any criticism or scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date".

- Written comments go to board@cochise.az.gov. If you cannot make a Tuesday morning deadline, this is the route that still puts your words in front of the Board.

The comment procedure was read from the county's own Speaker Request Form on 10 September 2026. The meeting day, time and room were not: the county's Board pages build their content with scripts, and our reader sees only the navigation. The county links two agenda portals, its own AgendaCenter and the Destiny site above. The Board's agendas are on the Destiny one.
