How to show up in Navajo County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Navajo County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneThe Electronic Frontier Foundation records a camera registry at this county's Sheriff's Office. A camera registry is how privately owned cameras become searchable by police. None of the Board documents we read from 2020 on mentions one, which makes it a good question to ask in the room.

- Not confirmed. The agendas carry individual meeting dates rather than a standing schedule, so check the portal for the next one.

- Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Navajo County Governmental Complex, 100 East Code Talkers Drive, Holbrook. Meeting notices state that the public has physical access to the meeting place one hour before the start, under A.R.S. section 38-431.02(H).

- The agendas state that "Individuals may address the Board on any relevant issue for up to 5 minutes", longer than the three minutes Greenlee, Cochise and La Paz counties allow. What follows is limited and the agenda says so: at the close of the call to the public "Board members may not respond to any comments but may respond to criticism, ask staff to review a matter, or ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda". Getting an item onto a future agenda is the outcome worth aiming for.
