How to show up in Pima County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Pima County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Pima County Board of Supervisors
Watch this oneIn January 2026 this Board turned down a $45 million contract for its own Sheriff, after the deputies' union wrote in against it. Whatever else that shows, it shows the room is worth being in: a written comment on an agenda item became part of the record and the item did not pass.
- When
- Regular meetings are the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 5 p.m. Study sessions are held on the second Tuesday, before the regular meeting, and their start times vary. The county changed the regular start time to 5 p.m. in May 2026, so anything you read describing a morning start is out of date.
- Where
- Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, Pima County Administration Building, 130 W. Congress St., 1st Floor, Tucson, AZ 85701.
- Remote
- Meetings are streamed live on Granicus and on YouTube, and carried on Cox cable channel 96. All three are watch only. Speaking happens in the room, or in writing before the meeting.
- Public comment
- Written comment is the route that carries weight here. The county says public comments can be submitted to the Clerk of the Board, and that "All public comments submitted for agenda items will be made public and added to the online agenda". That is not a formality: the letter that shaped the Board's January 2026 vote on the Sheriff's Axon contract arrived this way and was published as an attachment to the agenda item.
- Written comment
- Comments on agenda items go to the Clerk of the Board at COB_mail@pima.gov. Send them before the meeting, and write for the record rather than for the room, because what you send is published beside the item.
