How to show up in Contra Costa County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Contra Costa County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneNo decision in this county has been read, and no surveillance item has been located before this Board. The county's largest open question is a plate reader contract amendment referenced on Richmond's own transparency page, which has to be executed by Richmond's council rather than here.

- Tuesdays at 9:00 AM, though the Board does not sit every Tuesday.

- Meetings are streamed live on the county's website and on Contra Costa Television, carried on Comcast channel 27, WAVE channel 32 and AT&T U-verse channel 99. The county does not publish a way to comment remotely.

- A speaker fills in the form provided and gives a copy of any written statement to the Clerk. Comment is generally held to two minutes, and the total time one person may use across all agenda items in a meeting is ten minutes.

The county keeps its record in three places: Legistar for current meetings, a Laserfiche archive for historical records, and a separate agenda centre for committee agendas from before 2024. The ten-minute per-person cap across a whole meeting is the rule to know: someone who wants to speak on five items has two minutes each and no more.
