How to show up in Marin County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Marin County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneReporting on the county says this Board approved the Sheriff's request for 31 Flock plate reader cameras in 2023, at $198,650 over two years, and directed a review after the first year. We have not located the Board item itself, and whether that review came back is an open question.

- Scheduled Tuesdays at 9:00 AM, unless the posted agenda says otherwise. The Board does not sit every Tuesday, so the county's calendar carries the actual dates.

- Remote
- Meetings are on Zoom, meeting ID 947 4251 8384, password 352533, where the raise-hand button queues a comment. By phone, call 669-900-6833 or 833-548-0276, enter the same meeting ID and password, then press star 9 to comment. Live captions are available in English and Spanish through Streamtext. The county notes that its Granicus broadcast carries no captions.
- Public comment
- One to three minutes, set by the Board President during the meeting. Comment on an agenda item is taken after the Board discusses it. Comment on anything not on the agenda goes at the start of the meeting, during open time for public expression. Interpretation in another language can be requested at least 72 hours ahead.
- Written comment
- Through the Board of Supervisors contact form, by noon the day before the meeting. The county says emailed comment is not read aloud at the meeting.

The county's website returns a Cloudflare challenge to our pipeline, so this row was confirmed by reading the county's pages in a browser instead. Granicus carries agendas, minutes, reports and video from 2005 forward; meetings from 1995 to 2005 are in a separate archive.

Central Marin Police Council
Watch this oneThis is the governing body of the Central Marin Police Authority, which polices Larkspur, Corte Madera and San Anselmo. It took an informational item on Flock Safety plate readers in August 2024 and received the staff report rather than approving anything. A resident watching only their own town council would not have seen it.

- Four regular meetings a year, on a Thursday in February, May, August and November, at 6:00 PM.
- Where
- Not fixed. The authority says the location of each regular meeting is posted on the agenda at least 72 hours beforehand.

The authority does not publish a remote viewing option, a public comment procedure, or a per-speaker time limit on its Police Council page. Because the meeting venue changes and is only announced 72 hours ahead, the agenda is the only reliable source for where to go.
