How to show up in Sacramento County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Sacramento County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneThe Sheriff's own transparency page says the office has a military equipment use policy adopted under state law and files annual reports on it. Both go to this Board. We have not read either.

- Various Tuesdays at 9:30 AM and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM. The Board does not sit every week.
- Where
- Board Chambers, Room 1450, County Administration Center, 700 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
- Remote
- Meetings are webcast live and carried on Metro Cable channel 14. Remote comment is taken from people who register through Zoom, using the link the county publishes with each meeting.
- Public comment
- The Chair or the Clerk calls for comment on each item. Two minutes in total per person for each category: consent items, hearing items, items taken separately, and matters not on the agenda.
- Written comment
- By email to BoardClerk@saccounty.gov, or by post to 700 H Street, Suite 2450, Sacramento, CA 95814. Include the meeting date and the agenda item number, or say it is an off-agenda item.

- The city does not publish a per-speaker time limit or a sign-up procedure on its agendas, so the agenda for a given meeting is where to check both.

- Through eComment on the city's meeting portal, which stays open through the meeting. Written comment is distributed to council members and filed in the record, and is not read aloud.

The city's clerk pages give no meeting schedule, chamber address, comment rules or remote participation details; all of that is on the individual agendas. The city runs at least three systems for meeting material: a meetings portal, a Granicus agenda viewer, and a separate records system. The meeting schedule is not published as a standing pattern, so it is left blank here rather than inferred from the meetings we happened to look at.
