How to show up in San Diego County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in San Diego County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

- When
- A regular meeting begins on Tuesday at 9:00 AM and runs over two sessions. Tuesday is the general legislative session; Wednesday is the land use legislative session, mainly planning and land use. Any change to the time or place is printed on the agenda.
- Where
- County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 310, San Diego, CA 92101
- Remote
- The Board takes comment from people in the room and by phone; the speaking order counts the two queues separately.
- Public comment
- Up to 20 minutes at the start of each session is set aside for comment on matters not on the agenda, two minutes per speaker, less if the Chair needs the time. A speaker has to fill in the online request to speak form, choosing non-agenda public communication, before that session starts, and late requests are not taken. One non-agenda comment per person per meeting. If more than ten people ask to speak, five in the room and five by phone, ten are picked at random to go first and the rest are heard at the end of the session. What is raised goes to the Chief Administrative Officer; the Board does not act on it there.

Spanish translation is provided for public speakers. Arabic, Mandarin, Korean, Persian, Somali, Tagalog and Vietnamese can be requested from the Clerk at least 72 hours ahead, and so can sign language interpretation and other accommodations. Assistive listening devices are collected from the Clerk in Room 402 before the meeting. The county's site returns a 403 to our pipeline, so this row was read in a browser.
