How to show up in San Luis Obispo County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in San Luis Obispo County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneNo decision by this Board has been read. It is the governing body for the Sheriff's Office and therefore where any equipment purchase or military equipment policy has to appear.

- Generally Tuesdays at 9:00 AM, unless the agenda says otherwise.

- Remote
- Meetings can be watched on Zoom, the county's livestream, SLO Span or cable channel 21. To give spoken comment remotely a person has to be listening through Zoom rather than the other options, because those run behind. On Zoom, use the raise-hand button; by phone, press star 9.
- Public comment
- Comment is taken when the Chair opens it on an agenda item, from people in the room and from people on Zoom. Three minutes per speaker unless the Chair announces a different limit.
- Written comment
- By email to the Clerk of the Board, with the agenda item number in the subject line.

Agendas are generally posted six days before the meeting. The county's Granicus host is closed to our pipeline; its own pages open and are the source here. Those pages publish the Clerk's email address through a script our fetcher cannot read, so it is on the county's page rather than on this one. The requirement to listen through Zoom in order to speak is the thing to know: someone watching on cable or the livestream cannot comment.
