How to show up in Sierra County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Sierra County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneNo decision in this county has been read, and the reason is our tooling rather than the county's publishing. Sierra County posts agendas and minutes going back to 2015 and anyone with a browser can read all of it.

- Regular meetings commence at 9:00 AM.
- Where
- Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Courthouse, Downieville, CA 95936
- Remote
- Meetings are open in person and carried on Microsoft Teams, by phone or by computer, with the access details printed on each agenda. The public can both observe and comment that way. Meetings are recorded and posted on the county's website.
- Public comment
- Comment on matters not on the agenda is taken during the public comment opportunity, and the Board cannot act or hold a substantive discussion on anything raised there. Three minutes per person, and not more than three people addressing the same subject. The full comment rules can be had from the Clerk.

The three-speaker cap on any one subject is the rule to know here: the fourth person who wants to speak on a topic does not get to. Accessibility arrangements are made through the Clerk of the Board and the California Relay Service on 711.
