- The Sheriff's Office's written plate reader policy.
- Whether the audits Idaho Code 49-1432 requires twice a year have been done, and what they found.
- Whether the Sheriff's contracts with Eagle, Star and Kuna give those cities any say over cameras placed inside them.
What license plate readers are
An automated license plate reader photographs every passing vehicle and records the plate, the time and the place. It does not watch suspects. It logs everyone, and the record is usually kept on a vendor’s servers.
