Bannock County · Idaho

Chubbuck

Chubbuck sits directly north of Pocatello and has its own police department. The EFF Atlas of Surveillance records that the department obtained body-worn cameras in 2013 and received a federal body-worn camera grant in 2023.

We have not read the Chubbuck City Council’s record. The city publishes upcoming agendas on its website and keeps its minutes and packets in a document repository that requires a sign-in, and its own City Council page asks residents who want minutes to contact the city clerk. Nothing on this page is an Orwell Index finding about Chubbuck.

The Chubbuck city council decides for city departments like the police, at public meetings any resident can attend and speak at. Other agencies based in Chubbuck, such as a school district, answer to their own elected boards. We have confirmed where these bodies meet and how public comment works at each one.
