ORWELL INDEX

Bingham County · Idaho

Shelley

A city of about 4,700 people ten miles south of Idaho Falls, at the north end of Bingham County, home of the Idaho Spud Day since 1927. The Shelley Police Department is based here and reports to the Mayor and City Council.

The city publishes every council and Planning and Zoning agenda and set of minutes from 2003 to date on one page of its website, which is an unusually complete record for a city this size. Volunteers have mapped one surveillance camera north of the city.
