Kootenai County · Idaho
Coeur d'Alene
The county seat and the largest city in northern Idaho. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is the city’s own law enforcement agency, and the Coeur d’Alene Public Library’s community room is where the City Council meets.
The Council approved an agreement with Motorola for Drug Enforcement Agency interface access to plate reader data on its consent calendar in March 2025. In August 2026 the Chief of Police told the Council that the eleven Flock cameras a resident had found mapped in the city are not the City’s.
