Kootenai County · Idaho
Post Falls
Kootenai County’s second city, on the Spokane River between Coeur d’Alene and the Washington line. The Post Falls Police Department is the city’s own law enforcement agency.
The department has read license plates here since around 2008 and describes itself as the regional hub for that data. It runs nine fixed cameras and keeps the reads for two years, a period set by state law rather than by the City, and it has asked the legislature to make that shorter.
