How to show up in Humboldt County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Humboldt County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneEvery surveillance purchase in this county's record arrived here as a Sheriff's request reviewed by a captain, inside a longer agenda: the Motorola body-camera contract, the Axon Taser renewal, the eight building cameras. None of them was announced as a surveillance item. Read the Sheriff block and the Technology Services block of each agenda, because that is where they sit.

- Roughly twice a month, on Mondays. The minutes we read run from January 2025 through July 2026 and average two meetings a month, with extra sessions for budget and canvass. The county publishes each meeting rather than a standing schedule, so the portal is the reliable answer to when it next meets.

- The Humboldt County Meeting Room, Courthouse room 201, Winnemucca, which is how the minutes name it at the call to order. The county's address is 50 W 5th Street, Winnemucca, NV 89445.

- Public comment is a standing item, and the minutes record the chair asking for it by name and printing who appeared. Nevada's open meeting law requires the opportunity; check the posted agenda for that meeting for the current procedure and any time limit.

The Agenda Center advertises this board but holds eleven meetings and stops in December 2024; the DocumentCenter carries 138 sets of minutes running from 2019 to July 2026, and they are full verbatim minutes that record who spoke, what was moved and how each commissioner voted. Two sets of minutes in our window open by noting the meeting started late because of trouble with the room's own camera and microphone.
