How to show up in Baker County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Baker County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneEvery surveillance-adjacent purchase in this county's record arrived here as a bid approval under Contract Review Board, not as a policy item. The body cameras, the drone and the park cameras were each a motion, a second and a carried vote inside a longer meeting. If you want to see one coming, the Contract Review Board section of the agenda is where to look.
- When
- The first and third Wednesday of the month. Forty two of the fifty sessions we read fell on a Wednesday, twenty in the first week of the month and twenty in the third. Special sessions are called off that pattern and are labelled as special in the minutes.
- Where
- The Baker County Courthouse in Baker City. The minutes we read name the courthouse but do not print a street address or a room in their headers, so confirm the room with the posted agenda.
- Remote
- Meetings carry a Zoom broadcast, and the minutes record participants and presenters appearing by video. The link is published with each meeting rather than as a standing address.
- Public comment
- "Citizen's Participation" is a standing early item on the agenda. Comment is taken in the room: the Board disabled Zoom's comment function, stating in session that this was to comply with Oregon public meeting law, and the minutes record that public comment will not be accepted via Zoom. Speakers are asked to state their name and address for the record, and the minutes print both. We did not find a written time limit for this body in the meetings we read.

This is the most readable county meeting archive in Oregon. Sessions are published as web pages rather than scanned PDFs, they run back to 2001, and the same page offers a working full text search across all of them. Nothing here needs optical character recognition, so a search that returns nothing means the words are not there. We read the fifty sessions from 17 July 2024 to 1 April 2026; the two decades before that are unread rather than empty.
