How to show up in Crook County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Crook County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Crook County Board of Commissioners
Watch this oneThe county's fifteen in-car plate reader licences reached this Board inside a Sheriff's Office monthly update, as a non-binding estimate rather than a contract vote. Watching the packets matters more here than watching the agenda titles.
- When
- The Board's own notice says it holds public meetings "generally on the first and third Wednesday of each month". Other days appear regularly in the record, so the portal is the reliable answer.
- Where
- 320 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon 97754. Some meetings and work sessions are held at 203 NE Court Street.
- Remote
- Meeting notices carry a Zoom link and a dial-in number. Both are printed per meeting rather than at a standing address, so they have to be read off the notice for the meeting you want.
- Public comment
- Public comment is a standing agenda item. We did not find a written time limit or sign-up rule for this body in the meetings we read, and the minutes frequently record it as "Public Comment: None".
- Written comment
- — not confirmed
The portal publishes seventeen categories; we read two, the Board of Commissioners and the Local Public Safety Coordinating Council, from January 2025 forward. Everything on this page was read off the Board's own published packets and meeting notices. One caution about this host, which applies to anyone scripting against it rather than to a reader: the county answers on three hostnames and only crookcountyor.gov serves the full record.

What this list does not cover yet
These are the bodies we have confirmed, not every body in the county. Crook County has other commissions and committees, and other school and special districts, that we have not documented yet. Several of the county's own committees publish on the same county portal linked above.
