How to show up in Gilliam County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Gilliam County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Gilliam County Court
Watch this oneIn a county this size the County Court is the whole of local government, and the plate reader plan reached it as a conversation about roadside garbage. Budget hearings matter as much as regular meetings here: the Sheriff's plan was written in a budget narrative, not proposed in a motion.
- When
- The first and third Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM. Meetings are occasionally cancelled or moved, and the county posts the change with the agenda.
- Where
- Gilliam County Courthouse, 221 S. Oregon Street, Condon, Oregon 97823. Some meetings are held elsewhere in the county, such as the Condon Chamber, and the agenda says which.
- Remote
- Meetings carry a Zoom link, and the minutes record members attending by video conference. The link and passcode are different for each meeting and are published with that meeting's agenda, so there is no standing address to save.
- Public comment
- "Public Comments/Correspondence" is a standing item on the agenda. We did not find a written time limit or sign-up rule for this body in the meetings we read.
- Written comment
- — not confirmed
The county publishes 934 agendas, packets and minutes on one page reaching back to 2012, which is unusually complete for a county this size. We read 2025 and 2026. Ninety two of the documents in that window are scans with no text layer, so they can be read by a person but not searched.

What this list does not cover yet
These are the bodies we have confirmed, not every body in the county. Gilliam County has other commissions and committees, and other school and special districts, that we have not documented yet. Several of the county's own committees publish on the same county portal linked above.
