- The contract itself: start date, terms, and the year-one payment, none of which appears in the readable board record.
- The SB 1516 section 7 publication for the months the system ran after 31 March 2026, and the section 6 vendor figures: camera locations, search counts, and every agency with access.
- The termination record, and what happened to the collected data when the program ended.
- The ALPR policy in force while the cameras ran (the published manual is unreadable scans).
What license plate readers are
An automated license plate reader photographs every passing vehicle and records the plate, the time and the place. It does not watch suspects. It logs everyone, and the record is usually kept on a vendor’s servers.
