How to show up in Wasco County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Wasco County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Wasco County Board of County Commissioners
Watch this oneGrant acceptances are the agenda item to watch here. The county's thermal drone arrived as a state preparedness grant, and the federal restriction that redirected a second one arrived as a routine award amendment.
- When
- Most often the first and third Wednesday of the month at 9:00 AM. Other Wednesdays appear, so the agendas page is the reliable answer.
- Where
- 401 E Third Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058.
- Remote
- Agendas offer attendance "virtually" over Zoom, with a dial-in number as well as a link. Wasco uses a standing Zoom meeting room rather than a new one each time, so the details printed on a recent agenda are usually current, and the agenda for your meeting remains the last word.
- Public comment
- Public comment is taken at board meetings. We did not find a written time limit or sign-up rule for this body in the meetings we read.

The county keeps two separate pages. The link above is the current one, which is what you want for an upcoming meeting; we read it for 2025 and 2026. Anything older lives on a second page, "Archived agendas, board packet and minutes", reachable from the same part of the county site, and we have not read it. One of the 80 documents in our window is a scan with no text layer, which a person can read and a search cannot.

What this list does not cover yet
These are the bodies we have confirmed, not every body in the county. Wasco County has other commissions and committees, and other school and special districts, that we have not documented yet. Several of the county's own committees publish on the same county portal linked above.
