How to show up in Brazoria County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Brazoria County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Brazoria County Commissioners Court
Watch this oneEvery county surveillance decision on this county's pages was made here, and every one of them that reached a recorded vote sat inside the consent block, the batch of items the Court disposes of in a single motion. The plate reader agreements, the statewide plate database memoranda, the fingerprint system access and the records system all passed that way, none of them pulled out for discussion. Any member of the Court may ask for an item to be taken separately.
- When
- Twice a month on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m., a regular session on the second Tuesday and a special session on the fourth. Budget workshops are added in August, on Mondays. Holiday weeks move the date, so read the agenda rather than assuming a given Tuesday.
- Where
- Brazoria County Courthouse Campus, Administration Building, 237 East Locust Street, 2nd Floor Room 205, Angleton, TX 77515. The building is named at the top of every meeting notice.
- Remote
- Not established. No remote attendance, call-in number or live stream is named on the agendas or in the minutes we read. The Court's meetings are recorded and the video is published with the agenda in the county's meeting archive.
- Public comment
- Public Appearances is a standing item near the top of every agenda, taken before the consent agenda. The agendas print the rule: a member of the public may address the Court about any item before it, before the Court considers that item, or about any other matter of concern. Under Commissioners Court Order 7.C.1 of 28 January 2020 a speaker has five minutes, or ten when speaking through a translator. No sign-up sheet or registration deadline is printed on the agendas we read.

- Who to ask
- Brazoria County Clerk's office, Brazoria County Courthouse, 111 East Locust Street, Angleton, TX 77515, 979-849-5711. The County Clerk files every agenda and signs the minutes as ex officio member of the Commissioners Court. (checked )
The meeting archive carries agendas and minutes together with the meeting video. The minutes are the useful document from August 2023 onward: each records who was present, then every item in order, then the result with the mover, the seconder and the ayes by name. The consent block is approved in one motion. Before August 2023 the archive publishes the agendas but only a handful of sets of minutes a year, and those are budget workshops, so an item from those years shows what the Court was asked to decide rather than what it decided. We read the agendas from January 2018 and the minutes from August 2023, to September 2026.
