How to show up in Denton County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Denton County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Watch this oneEvery county surveillance agreement on this county's pages was approved here. Sheriff's Office agreements, including Clearview AI and Flock, come up as their own items under the Sheriff heading. Plate readers and drones arrive under Purchasing and Budget, and federal camera grants under Emergency Management.
- When
- Every Tuesday at 9 a.m. Agendas are usually posted after 5 p.m. the Thursday before, and any addendum after 5 p.m. on Friday.
- Where
- Commissioners Courtroom, 1 Courthouse Drive, Suite 3100, Denton, TX 76208.
- Remote
- Meetings stream live on the county's website, Facebook, YouTube and X, and are rebroadcast on cable. Speaking is in person. Written testimony can be sent to the Aide to Commissioners Court.
- Public comment
- Register with the county's Public Comment Form online, in person on the day of the meeting, or by calling the Aide to Commissioners Court at 940-349-2830. Registration opens when the agenda is posted, and the form asks for the agenda item number. Each speaker gets three minutes, and comment on any one item is limited to 45 minutes in total. Comments on matters not on the agenda come at the start of the meeting.
- Written comment
- Written comments can be sent to the Aide to Commissioners Court any time after the agenda is posted. The Aide passes them to the Court members and the County Clerk for the record.
The agendas page lists every meeting since 1998 with its video. Pick "Documents" beside a meeting to open the agenda or the minutes. The minutes list each item with links to its attachments, then who moved it, the vote and the Court Order number.
