How to show up in Webb County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Webb County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Webb County Commissioners Court
Watch this oneEvery county surveillance purchase on this county's pages was approved here, and most of them inside the consent agenda: the block of items the Court approves in one vote, without separate discussion. Plate readers, thermal cameras and the real time crime center software arrive under the Sheriff's heading; grant applications and acceptances arrive under Economic Development; the constables' equipment arrives under their own precinct headings.
- When
- Twice a month at 9 am, usually the second and fourth Monday, moving to another weekday when a Monday is a holiday. The county publishes a dated schedule each fiscal year on its Commissioners Court Meeting Dates and Deadlines page, which is the thing to check rather than assuming a weekday.
- Where
- The Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the Webb County Courthouse, 1000 Houston Street, Laredo, Texas 78040, which is the address printed at the head of every agenda read for this page.

- Public comment
- Standing item 4 on every agenda. It gives the public the opportunity to address the Court on any items on the agenda. A speaker completes a witness card naming the agenda item they wish to speak to, and each member of the public, individually or in a group, has three minutes in total.

The link above is the Court's agenda and minutes portal, which the county's own Agendas and Minutes page frames. The monthly listing gives one row per meeting with separate links for the agenda and the minutes, back to October 2013. The minutes are the useful half: each one prints every item in full with its dollar figure, its account number, the names of the documents filed with it, and the motion and the vote. The county also publishes live and archived video of the Court.

What this list does not cover yet
These are the bodies we have confirmed, not every body in the county. Webb County has other commissions and committees, and other school and special districts, that we have not documented yet. Several of the county's own committees publish on the same county portal linked above.
