Calaveras County is the second county on Orwell Index. Angels Camp, the county’s only incorporated city, operates the only license plate readers in the county; everything else, including the county seat at San Andreas, is policed by the Sheriff. The county hub assembles the map, the meetings tracker, the contracts tracker, and the records-request log for this county.

Angels Camp police run two license plate reader systems and are installing a third. One public hearing was noticed on the subject, in March 2024, and the approved minutes record no motion and no vote.
