- Where are the eight cameras? Neither body's record places a single one at an address.

- Which agencies could see the data, and on what terms?
- Has the contract been terminated, when do the cameras come down, and what happens to the reads already collected?

- Where is the agreement? It was in the budget, not on an agenda, and the Council never voted on it.
- What are its terms? The 28 day window and the transfer of ownership in the photographs come from a document nobody has published.
- Has the subscription been canceled, or was it left to run out?
- What does the department's plate reader policy say? It was adopted inside a policy manual the city does not publish.
What license plate readers are
An automated license plate reader photographs every passing vehicle and records the plate, the time and the place. It does not watch suspects. It logs everyone, and the record is usually kept on a vendor’s servers.
