How to show up in Lemhi County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Lemhi County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Lemhi County Board of County Commissioners
Watch this oneEvery camera decision this project has documented in Lemhi County came before this Board, and the ones still open came before it in 2026: the jail camera system the Department of Homeland Security stopped approving, the $400,000 grant the Sheriff wants to apply for with the City of Salmon, and a $50,000 quote for cameras at the county's waste transfer sites. An item reading "LICENSE PLATE READER DISCUSSION" was on its agenda in March 2026 and the minutes of that meeting record no such item.
- When
- The second and fourth Monday of each month, with special meetings called between them. Morning start times move between 7:30 and 8:30, so read the agenda.
- Where
- Brooklyn Annex, 200 Fulton Street, Suite 101, Salmon.
- Remote
- None published.
- Public comment
- We could not find a published public comment procedure for this Board. Its agendas schedule speakers by name and time, which is how residents appear before it, and they state that meetings are open to the public apart from executive session. The Clerk's office schedules items.
- Written comment
- Not published. The Clerk's office will e-mail the agenda on request.
- Who to ask
- Lemhi County Clerk, 206 Courthouse Drive, Salmon, Idaho 83467, 208-742-1665. County switchboard 208-756-2815. (checked )
The county's agenda portal carries 2025 and 2026 only. The county's own Agendas and Minutes page says everything earlier is in its Document Center. The Board's minutes from 2007 to 2021 survive in the Internet Archive's copies of the county's older website; its minutes for 2022, 2023 and 2024 are unread. Several sets of minutes are published as page scans with no text layer.

Lemhi County Planning and Zoning Commission
Nothing this project has documented in Lemhi County was decided here. It is listed because it is the county's other published body, because a comprehensive plan is where a use can be authorized years before it is bought, and because it publishes the one written public comment procedure we found in this county.
- When
- The third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
- Where
- Brooklyn Annex, 200 Fulton Street, Suite 103, Salmon.
- Remote
- None published.
- Public comment
- The Commission's own agendas say that anyone with new business must contact the Planning and Zoning Department to be placed on the agenda, and that the Commission reserves the right not to respond to comments or questions. Meetings are open to the public.

Salmon City Council
Watch this oneBoth camera grants named in Lemhi County's record belong to this city: the license plate reader grant the Sheriff told the county Board about in February 2026, and the $400,000 body camera, in-car camera, jail camera and prosecutor video grant he described in April. Neither has been read here. If you want to know what Salmon bought, this is the room.

The Council's agendas are published by year from 2022 and its minutes from 2023, in document folders on the city's website. No Salmon City Council document has been read for this project. The city publishes no meeting cadence that we could find.

What this list does not cover yet
These are the bodies we have confirmed, not every body in the county. Lemhi County has other commissions and committees, and other school and special districts, that we have not documented yet. Several of the county's own committees publish on the same county portal linked above.
