How to show up in Lincoln County
Surveillance is approved by people who hold public meetings any resident can attend. This page lists the bodies that do that in Lincoln County, what we have confirmed about attending each one, and where each publishes its agendas.
We do not publish meeting dates. A schedule we cannot check often enough would eventually send someone to the wrong place on the wrong night. Each body below links to wherever it publishes its own agendas and schedule, and that is the copy to trust.

Lincoln County Board of Commissioners
Watch this oneComment to this Board has to attach to something already on the agenda, so the useful move here is getting an item listed rather than turning up to raise one. Watch the expense approval reports in the packets too: the county's $46,486.07 payment to Axon appears there and nowhere else.
- When
- The first and third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM. The agenda for the following week's meeting is published each Friday and sent to local media.
- Where
- 225 West Olive Street, Room 110, Newport, Oregon. Note the county's own caveat below: it describes these meetings as virtual only at present, so the room may not be the place to go.
- Remote
- The county says meetings are "virtual only at this time" and asks people to register once for a Zoom webinar, noting the registration link stays valid for several months rather than changing per meeting. Meetings are also filmed and published as audio and video on the county website, usually the same day.
- Public comment
- Comments are limited to three minutes and, in the Board's own words, "must directly relate to items on the Agenda". Written comment on agenda items is accepted online until noon the day before, and speakers register by the same deadline. The county describes constituent input at meetings as limited to legally required public testimony, and points general input to an online form or to emailing a commissioner directly.

Use the CivicClerk portal linked here for this Board's agendas, packets and minutes. The county also runs an Agenda Center at co.lincoln.or.us/AgendaCenter, and it is not the Board's: it holds a single category, the Citizen Corps Coordinating Council, twelve documents from 2024 and early 2025. We read the Board's record from July 2025 onward. There is no city record on this site for Lincoln City, whose website refuses to tell us what we are allowed to read.
